Why We Conduct Background Checks for Children’s Ministry Workers
At OBC, the safety and well-being of the children entrusted to our care is one of our highest priorities. To help ensure a secure environment, we require background checks for all individuals serving in any capacity with our children's ministry.
This process is a proactive step to protect our children, build trust with families, and uphold the integrity of our ministry. Background checks help us ensure that those serving are qualified, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing space for every child.
We believe this is a responsible and necessary measure that reflects our commitment to excellence, accountability, and care in all that we do.

I hereby authorize ICSO to conduct an inquiry for the purpose listed below and receive any Georgia and/or national criminal history record information as authorized by state and federal law.
This authorization is valid for 365 days from date of signature.
By signing this form, you give consent for the Irwin County Sheriffs Office to perform periodic criminal history background checks for the duration of my employment.
