• Rob Dowdle - Pastor

    Rob Dowdle came to Ocilla Baptist Church from Princeton Theological Seminary and Mercer University's McAfee School of Theology. He served Black Jack Baptist Church in Yazoo County, MS as their youth minister while a student at Mississippi College. He enjoys reading fiction and classical Greek literature. His hobbies include woodworking, working in the yard, and enjoying the great outdoors. Rob is married to Megan Brown Dowdle from Yazoo County, MS. Megan is a physical therapist for Dorminy Medical Center and has worked for the Shepherd Center of Atlanta, GA. They have two daughters, Chloe, who was born in December of 2010 and Sophia who was born in January 2013. They have a dog they adopted in New York City named Louie and a rhinoceros iguana named Aphrodite.

  • Anita Leverett - Minister to Youth

    Anita Leverett officially joined the staff of Ocilla Baptist Church in June 2015. Prior to being officially hired, she fulfilled the interim youth minister postion for about a year. It was during this time that she found a calling in her life to pursue youth ministry vocationally. 

    Anita graduated from Irwin County High in 2013. After high school, and while trying to find her way, she took core academic classes at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College until May 2015. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies online at Toccoa Falls College in efforts to further her biblical knowledge and better educate the youth under her leadership.

    In addition to hanging out and building relationships with the youth, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with the Irwin County Marching Band, and playing flute in the Abraham Baldwin Agricultrual College Concert Band as a community player. 

  • Randy Reeves - Minister of Music

    Randy Reeves has served as Minister of Music of Ocilla Baptist from 1999 to 2004 & 2009 to the present.  He began leading music while in the youth program at Irwinville Baptist Church.  His choir director started putting him in leadership roles as an early teen.  Leading congregational music and directing the youth choir on Sunday nights were just some of the responsibilities given to develop his love of music and service to his church.

    Randy is an assistant principal at Irwin County Elementary school and married to the former Lori Smith of Homerville, Ga.

    Hobbies include music, gardening, traveling, and antiquing.
